Trans Group started with the formation of its very first company Transtrade Pvt Ltd in 1984. Transtrade soon established itself as one of the leading ship agents in Pakistan specializing in Petroleum and Edible Oil Tankers and since inception has gone to handle 3,391 vessels and 137,223,229 MT of liquid and dry bulk cargo.

With the reputation built in the local and international oil and commodities industry it was decided to form Sealine for the purpose of trading and indenting. Sealine has successfully closed deals in various commodities ranging from diesel, gasoline, naphtas, gas oil, crude oil, base oil, lubricants, LPG bitumen and coal.

In the year 2000 Trans Group ventured into Steel Recycling initiated with ship breaking through the formation of Prime Ship breakers and ASNMCO. The group went on to become one of the largest ship breakers in Pakistan demolishing over 1,200,000 MT LDT of oil tankers and bulkers ranging from handy max to VLCC’s. Ship breaking paved the way of entry into Steel Recycling through the establishment of an arc furnace Aman Steel with the capacity of 60,000 MT/ annum and a re-rolling mill Ayan Steel with the capacity of 36,000 MT/ annum in Karachi.

In 2010 Gwadar Shipping Services was established as the exclusive stevedores and cargo handlers for Urea at Gwadar Port. Since its inception the company has handled 3,317,000 MT of cargo at Gwadar Port. At Keamari and Port Qasim the company is handling all types of bulk cargoes including coal, rice, wheat, cement, rock phosphate among other commodities.

In 2017 identifying the recent rapid increase in POL volumes and the shortage of oil storages in the country. Trans Group has ventured into development of Oil Storage Terminals in 2 separate joint ventures. The first is Hascol Terminals Limited with leading international commodity giant Vitol and Pakistan’s fastest growing OMC Hascol Petroleum. The second, Fauji Trans Terminals Limited with the exclusive petroleum jetty owners and operators at Port Qaim, Fauji Oil Terminal and Distribution Company. The 2 projects combined give Trans Group over 370,000 MT of petroleum storage.
